Contributions to 5G: The purpose of this project is to understand the current user awareness of 5G, and to promote use cases that utilize the potential of 5G at a higher level, with a focus on millimeter wave and local 5G, which are expected to see increased use in the future, and practical business initiatives that expand from these use cases, including demonstrations, in order to contribute to industry efficiency, increased profits, and solutions to social issues. The objective is to contribute to industry efficiency, revenue growth, and the resolution of social issues, and to demonstrate Japan's international initiative in millimeter wave and private/local 5G.
Contribution to 6G: To examine the usage scenarios of 5G/6G from the basic stance of thinking from the user's perspective and envision the near-future mobile network society expected by users, and to promote practical advanced 5G applications such as millimeter wave and local 5G to serve as a stepping stone toward success in the 6G era.

5G Use Case Promotion WG (millimeter wave, local 5G promotion) Promote practical initiatives for use cases that utilize the potential of 5G at a higher level and businesses that expand from them, focusing on millimeter wave and local 5G (update white papers and other documents to promote the use of millimeter wave and local 5G and to appeal to domestic and international stakeholders and other industries, hold workshops and events for industry (e.g., holding workshops and events, demonstrating/developing services/applications, industrial applications, appealing to academic societies and other organizations, and coordinating and cooperating with public and private activities)
Usage Scenes WG Survey and understand user needs and issues in mobile usage. In addition, by receiving presentations on future business models from various industry players, we will envision the expected usage scenarios of 5G/6G to increase the value of mobile networks in the near future society (we will participate in the envisioned usage scenarios of 6G in cooperation with the 6G Promotion Project).
