Purpose of Activity
Creation of new radio technologies for 6G
Contribute to the technological development of industry through the promotion of tight industry-academia collaboration on 6G wireless technology, the establishment of new collaborations within the ICT industry, and international collaboration on R&D projects.
Providing a forum for networking and information exchange for those involved in/interested in 6G radio technology
Enhance Japan's presence by planning demonstration tests of 6G radio technology and disseminating the outcomes both domestically and internationally.
Compilation of R&D trends in 6G radio technology both domestically and internationally
Activities
Creation of 6G radio technology through industry-academia collaboration and contribution to the technological development of industry based on this technology
Gathering and compiling information on domestic and international R&D trends related to 6G radio technology
Identifying new 6G radio technologies in Japan and promoting them internationally
Fostering researchers and engineers involved in/interested in 6G radio technology, and promoting networking and information sharing both domestically and internationally
Planning, promotion, and support of demonstration experiments of 6G radio technology in Japan, dissemination of outcomes at events, and promotion internationally
Promote close industry-academia collaboration on 6G radio technology, collaborate with domestic academic societies, and plan and manage international conferences overseas.
International collaboration on R&D projects, alignment of technical direction, and contribution towards the realization of the ecosystem
Assumed members are people interested in 6G radio technology who are active in the former Beyond 5G Promotion Consortium White Paper Subcommittee Technical Working Group, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), IEEE, and other organizations.
