MoU between XGMF and European 6G-IA signed and workshop held

The XG Mobile Promotion Forum (XGMF) has signed an MoU with 6G-IA, an association representing industry and research organizations in the field of next-generation networks and services in Europe, with the aim of deepening collaboration between the EU and Japan regarding Beyonad 5G/6G initiatives.
In conjunction with the MoU signing, a workshop for 6G collaboration was also held.

Contents:

(1) Conclusion of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
The MOU aims to foster collaboration between the two organizations in the development of innovative mobile communication solutions for the Beyond 5G/6G era. It was signed by XGMF co-chair Professor Akihiro Nakao of the University of Tokyo and 6G-IA Chairman of the governing Board Colin Willcock.

(2) Introduction of 6G-IA and XGMF
Each organization gave an overview of their activities.

(3) Introduction of technical studies on 6G
Both parties provided the following explanations on the current technical considerations regarding 6G.

(4) Discussion on future collaboration
XGMF explained Japan's "6G Position Paper" and 6G-IA explained its "Vision White Paper" and exchanged opinions on future collaboration.
As a result, it was confirmed that the following areas will be prioritized for collaboration
