The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held the "Beyond 5G ready Showcase" at the Osaka-Kansai Expo from May 26 (Mon.) to June 3 (Tue.), 2025, to introduce Japan's efforts to the world regarding Beyond 5G, the next-generation information and communications infrastructure.
The event offered a visual presentation of the transition from the history of information and communications to the future, an opportunity to experience the image of the future society realized by Beyond 5G with an emphasis on reality and immersion, and an exhibition of related R&D and cutting-edge technologies in Japan. 3 Future Plans
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) intends to make effective use of the knowledge gained through the implementation of the "Beyond 5G ready Showcase" and the content used to further promote various policies for next-generation information and communications, and to contribute to the creation of a legacy from the Osaka/Kansai Expo.
The "Beyond 5G ready Showcase" will continue to be held until October 13, 2025 (Monday) (the end of the Osaka-Kansai Expo) as a "virtual event" that allows visitors to experience common content with the on-site event in a virtual space via the Web.
