Local 5G has made rapid progress in its diffusion due to the August 2023 system revision, which added a new concept of "shared use," but another bottleneck is "obtaining a license. Since last year, the number of applications for such licenses has been increasing rapidly, but the state of affairs has not changed: it takes time to obtain a license and the details of the application are difficult to understand. However, the resolution of this problem is being discussed in the "Frequency Reorganization Action Plan" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), and there may be a major move in the near future.
The first session (for XGMF members only) was led by Mr. Yuji Nakamura (Director, Radio Policy Division, Radio Department, Telecommunications Infrastructure Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications), who spoke about the XGMF and its activities.Local 5G Licensing Process Shortening Project LeaderMr. Hiroshi Masuyama (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation), and Mr. XGMF・・・・・.ODAIBA IX Coreproject leader, Mr. Gota Iwanami (Infocity Corporation), and Mr. Takehiro Nakamura (NTT DOCOMO, Inc.) will discuss "The Latest Status and Future of Local 5G Licensing" (non-member companies are welcome to attend this opportunity).Join XGMF(Please consider the following).
